Ross Perot
About Ross Perot
The billionaire businessman who ran one of the most successful third party campaigns in American history. Perot won 18.9 percent of the popular vote in 1992, the best third party showing since 1912. He spent his own money on infomercials and chart based presentations about the national debt. Perot drew votes from both Bush and Clinton. In 1995 he founded the Reform Party. Perots campaigns demonstrated that Americans were frustrated with the two party system, though his idiosyncratic style limited his appeal.
