The forty second President and first Baby Boomer to hold the office. Clintons presidency saw unprecedented economic growth, balanced budgets, and welfare reform. He intervened militarily in the Balkans to stop ethnic cleansing. Clintons presidency was consumed by the Monica Lewinsky scandal, leading to his impeachment by the House in 1998 and acquittal by the Senate. Despite the scandal, Clinton left office with high approval ratings. He was known for his political skill and communication ability. Clinton later focused on his foundation, working on global health and climate change. He was the second president to be impeached, after Andrew Johnson.
