Justin Trudeau
About Justin Trudeau
The 23rd Prime Minister of Canada and son of Pierre Trudeau. Trudeau initially generated enormous excitement, promising sunny ways. His government legalized cannabis, implemented a carbon tax, and welcomed refugees. Trudeaus popularity declined over time due to ethics scandals, blackface revelations, and inflation concerns. He was known for his progressive rhetoric on gender, climate, and diversity. Trudeaus leadership during COVID was generally well received. His close relationship with the Aga Khan and his handling of the SNC Lavalin affair damaged his reputation.
