About Brian Mulroney
The Canadian Prime Minister from 1984 to 1993. Mulroney negotiated the North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA with the US and Mexico. He introduced the Goods and Services Tax, which was deeply unpopular. Mulroney was a strong environmentalist, signing the biodiversity convention. He was known for his close friendship with Ronald Reagan and George H W Bush. Mulroney resigned with low approval ratings. He later became a controversial figure due to his business relationships and lobbying activities.
