About Muhammad Ali Jinnah
The founder of Pakistan, known as Quaid-e-Azam or Great Leader. Jinnah was a brilliant lawyer who initially advocated Hindu Muslim unity. He later embraced the two nation theory, arguing that Muslims needed their own state. His campaign for Pakistan led to the partition of India in 1947, displacing 14 million people and killing up to 2 million in communal violence. Jinnah became the first Governor General of Pakistan but died of tuberculosis in 1948, just 13 months after independence. His early death left Pakistan without strong leadership, contributing to political instability that continues today.
