Emmanuel Macron Detail
About Emmanuel Macron Detail
See Macron main entry. Macron was the youngest French president ever at 39. He had never held elected office before winning the presidency. His party En Marche was founded just one year before his victory. Macron positioned himself as neither left nor right, promising a revolution in French politics. His centrist pro Europe stance has been tested by Yellow Vest protests, pension strikes, and the rise of the far right. His marriage to his former high school teacher Brigitte, 24 years his senior, has been the subject of much media attention.
